Milk price during this season is not likely to go

high. Thanks due to the normal rains.

With normal production as well import of milk

powder by NDDB.

Karnatka's production is 15% up, Tamil Nadu is

also on the upper side.Because of this

Mahrashtra has decided not to supply  liquid

milk to southern states.

Lean season in Maharashtra reaches peak is

only after second week of July and lasts till

August end,due to reduction in buffalo milk.

Their flush season is from October.

Amul has recently increased butter price by

Rs.1/-per 100 Gm.

Cost of milk production in Gujarat remains high

since monsoon reaches there late.(it reached last week)

Amul has achieved a growth of 21.1% with a

turnover of Rs 9,774 crores. in the year 2010-11.

Growth of processed cheese was 29%.

At present they are processing 82-83Lakh liters

of liquid milk per day. In flush season they expect to

process,110 Lakh liters a day.

Mother Dairy sells close to 35 Lakh liters of liquid

milk day.They increased the prices of milk

products in the last fortnight.

Parag Milk (Pune) increased the price of butter

by 5% and plan to increase the prices of butter and

ghee in the coming months.Ghee prices

usually go up in the festival season which is soon

coming.

Warana Dairy (Kholapur) is collecting buffloe milk.

Their Warans Shrikhand is popular dairy delicacy.
