Removal of Vice Chancellor: No interim stay

The High court of Kerala refused to grant interim stay to the execution of the order of the Government of Kerala removing Dr. B.Ashok from the post of the Vice Chancellor of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.
On the appeal filed by Dr. B.Ashok, Justice T. Ramachandran Nair directed to send notices to all concerned including the Governer and the Government of Kerala. Dr Ashok contended that he was appointed as Vice Chancellor for five years from 29 October 2011 and there is no provision to cancel or withdraw his appointment on the grounds that he belonged to the Indian Administrative Service.
